1 mL aliquot of plasma for each time interval; minimum 0.2 mL. |
Patient preparation: |
Dietary preparation of a 150 gm carbohydrate meal 12-16 hours prior to beginning test; 75 gm challenge dose of glucose given immediately after collection of the fasting specimen. |
