Specimen Processing Instructions:
Centrifuge for 10 minutes at 3000 rpm, and immediately separate serum or plasma specimens from the cells into clean, plastic, screw-capped vial(s). Should be aliquoted within one (1) hour of collection.
Transport temperature:
 Refrigerated.
Specimen stability:
 Room Temperature: 3 days. Refrigerated: 2 weeks. Frozen: 2 months (-20ºC)
Rejection criteria:
 Stability limits exceeded.
 
Reference range:
 Therapeutic: 8.0-35.0 mcg/mL. Toxic: > 35.0 mcg/dL.
Detection limit 0.5 mcg/mL.
Alert limits:
 Toxic > 35.0 mcg/mL
